New version of the website is UP, after months of work, after many MANY cups of coffee, and after keeping it quiet for way longer than I ever thought I'd be able to. Seriously. Seems like I dig shooting my mouth off, if I weren't a shy dude I'd be the human version of Wikileaks.

Anyways, SO amped to finally have it live, not because my publicist said I should say so, not because I even HAVE a publicist.. but because I am sincerely and honestly friggin AMPED about having a blog-centered website where I can come and share what I have learnt, and also what I intend to learn. I won't waste your time with the usual mumbo jumbo you're used to reading on "website launches" like these, I'd rather tell you about my whole approach behind this :) It's a big change from the other site, but with very good reason. Here is wassup:

See, human beings are relational. "Relational" refers to things that exist in a relationship with each other (I promise. I googled.) and I think you'd agree that relationships make out by FAR the biggest part of the human life. If you're under the impression that 99% of your life SUCKS, but your girlfriend digs you.. all is well. If you're under the impression that 99% of your life is friggin awesome, but your girlfriend dumps you.. all is poo. You're nodding, aren't you?

My point with such a seemingly irrelevant paragraph, is that BY FARRR the coolest and most engaging part of my whole drumming journey with you guys.. is that you're reading THIS, and you're on this website, and you've rated or commented on a video of mine, and you've maybe even bought my DVD. It's not the cash, it's never the cash: it's the interaction and the relationship we are able to have because of this new thing called the "Internet" (I'm from South Africa. It's new here.) and I know it's not an incredibly personal relationship, I don't know where you were born or what kind of ice cream is your favourite.. but I know you like music. And in an epic way, that's enough for now.

I LOVE the thought of having a blog-centered website, where I am constantly posting about what's happening, asking advice from you guys, getting feedback, posting videos of where I am and what I'm busy with.. sheesh, the thought of that level of interaction gets me amped.

The site also has a new store and we're selling digital downloads for the first time, which I've been wanting to do for a long time. I'm not a sell-out, please don't ever think I would EVER reduce this journey to the cash, but you know as well as I do that human beings need food and stuff. I don't want to be rich, I just want to play drums :) If you dig what I do and you want to support me please head over to the store and buy something for your mom. She'd be totally amped to learn how I do the stick flip in Face Down.. #truth. No pressure, though. It's your money.

Also, can somebody please tell me what a publicist does?
